![]() "For Destiny, we didn’t aggressively pursue one rating over another, though. "We’ve always set out to make games that lots of players can enjoy, and to build experiences that matter to people," Bungie told Polygon. This is a game that you’ll be comfortable playing with people in a broad age range, as long as they can hold a controller and you don’t mind the use of science fiction shotguns against alien creatures. Nothing that would cause Destiny to be tipped over into a Mature rating. We now know Destiny will have "animated blood" and "violence." That’s it. PVP is solid but lacks variety and PVE is very good.Destiny is rated T for Teen by the ESRB, Polygon has confirmed, and the content descriptors - the short bullet point lists that share what sort of content is in the game - are tame. IMO it's still a great game, better in story telling than D1 but still not nearly as great as halo or other games. CoO added another few weeks of looting and shooting but now im back to once a week. As a D1 player i got a solid 50-60 hours before i slowed down and started getting bored and playing once a week. ![]() PVE feels great and raids are probably the best things to do. Yes they're adding things here and there but overall there isn't much variety. ![]() If you're looking for an overly amazing amount of pvp variety then you won't like this. Quickplay used to be 6v6 and was really nice. Quickplay feels sluggish still in 4v4 but comp plays a lot better in that style. PVP is a lot more team based like halo, in the sense that TTK is higher than COD and team shooting almost always wins against a 1v2. I loved Halo1-3 and would say this feels a lot more like halo than D1 ever did. Cut scenes are beautiful and gameplay is great. There isn't a ton of depth but it is a lot better than D1 ever was. I think if you're coming from Halo then D2 will appeal to you a lot more than D1. Should I just continue the trial and play it to completion/see if I like it, and go from there? Again, if I'm going to devote time to a game this year (besides Black Ops 3, I feel like I am forever chained to that game because to me it's probably the best COD in years in terms of overall fun factor) I want to play a game that WORKS for the most part. To be honest, I played the trial and found it kind of meh, but I'm willing to give it a second chance, because I am severely disappointed with COD:WW2 after pre-ordering that game, prestiging twice, and suffering through the same BS issues each time I boot the game up on my PS4. I have a few people telling me Destiny is kind of a blend of Halo mixed with some grind-esque elements of WoW for good gear to equip while playing. I have some experience grinding/leveling characters in WoW/Diablo/Skyrim/etc. By the end of Reach, I literally felt like I was saving the damn planet from destruction LOL. I always commended Bungie for making what I thought was solid shooters with a great storyline, I loved the love tale that was created between Master Chief and Cortana, and even with ODST and Reach (I literally cried at the the Reach, what I baby I am I know, but damn if I thought that wasn't a great story they told throughout playing). Slowly migrated over to playing COD for the past few years, currently play alot Black Ops 3 (hate away if you want). Definitely was my favorite FPS Franchise for some time. ![]() Was a huge Halo 1 - 3 fan in high school/college.
